Sandstone composition

A close up view of the sandstone shows the different chemicals that give the rocks their distinctive colors. Bryce rocks are a mixture of sandstone and limestone with the hoodoos formed due to wind erosion (as opposed to predominantly water erosion in the Grand canyon)
