Thanks for the feedback. I tried hard not to have a prominent shadow by rotating the shell. In the end, this gave me the least shadow. I did not want to alter it digitally..any ideas for future pics?

@Namaki: thanks for the comment..i posted a pic previously with the center of the shell. I also have other images of this shell. I wanted to capture the flowing curves of the entire shell.
